2021 Chevy Blazer Repair
The Chevy Blazer was introduced in 1969 and became one of the most popular SUV’s on the market. It’s no surprise that owners of this vehicle enjoy driving them and want expert restoration after an accident.
This 2021 Chevy Blazer repair was needed after our customer was rear-ended. Despite the Blazer’s ultra high-strength steel body, and newer models that use a low-alloy steel where energy absorption minimizes damage in an accident, it required some serious TLC to return to “like new” condition.
We performed a comprehensive assessment of damage to determine the repairs needed. This process revealed a few issues with the sensors and lift gate that ran deeper than just cosmetic fixes.
We disassembled the back end and checked the frame for any loss of structural integrity. It passed inspection. This allowed us to inventory what parts were damaged and get them ordered.
First we replaced the rear bumper park sensors that had been damaged. These sensors are part of the Blazer’s technological advancements over the years, including safety assist, forward collision alert, and blind zones alert. Having inoperable sensors renders these features useless.
Next, we installed a new rear body panel and repaired the lift gate. These were relatively simple repairs, just required a strong hand to secure these pieces.
Lastly, we replaced the rear bumper assembly and made sure every piece was aligned to perfection.
